Impossible Rainbow Road 3.6
Long Road Games
A physics-based game that's easy to understandbut hard to play. You'll fall frequently! Eventually you'lldiscover the beauty of jumping and the sneakiness oftime-rewinding.The game can be played with one thumb in portrait orientation,or two-thumbed in landscape mode or on a tablet, or simply bytilting the device with the optional tilt control technique.* Tap on the left or right to steer. (Or drag your finger ortilt the device, depending on your chosen control technique.) Thefurther to the side you tap/drag/tilt, the more the ballturns.* Touch and hold the clock-rewind icon to reverse time.* Touch the Pause button to pause, restart, or adjust thesensitivity. You can customize the level of difficulty:* Easy means a larger heavier ball and a straighter, wider road.Good for practice.* Insane means a light, jumpy ball and a narrow twisty road. Thehighest scores can be achieved here with frequent long jumps.* Normal difficulty is midway between the other two. When you get a new high score it's compared to other scores forthe same difficulty level. You'll get an idea of where you standwith a message like, "You're in the top 10% of all players!" Like aleaderboard but without fussing with names. You can select your choice of background images and bonussounds. You can also record your own bonus sound; try your ownyeehah or woohoo!
Impossible Rainbow Road 2 1.9.1
This game is obsolete now. All its featureshave been combined (and improved) into the original game ImpossibleRainbow Road. This version will be unpublished after its users havehad a chance to switch.A simple rolling-ball game in a race-track setting with aleaderboard. Go as far as you can in one minute without falling offthe edge into the abyss. If you avoid falling off and don't createexcessive drag, you'll repeat the same track several times, goingfaster on each lap. Tilt your device to steer the ball from side toside. You're scored on how far you can go in one minute. If youfinish 3 laps you'll get 3000 points. If you cover 3 and a halflaps you'll get 3500.Here are some tips to get the best possible score, to squeeze outthe last few points for a world-beating gold medal:* Be sure to roll through the magic space warp at the end of eachlap.* Try to avoid colliding with the guard rails. Each collision costsa little speed.* Try not to float above the track for too long, where airresistance will slow you down a bit. When you find yourselfsailing, touch and hold the screen to push the ball gently down tothe track.* But don't push down for too long after you've touched downbecause that will create drag. The best strategy is to stay lightlyon the track and in the middle. (Unless flying lets you take amajor short-cut!)* Hit the downhills just right to maximize your speed. (If you'veever played the game Tiny Wings you'll have a feel for therhythm.)You might find more than one way to cover the distance, especiallyafter you've built up speed. Each track keeps its own score. If you get a score high enough tobe considered for a medal -- one of the top three in the world --you'll be asked to pick a nickname for posting your score to thecentral leaderboard. (You can choose not to enter a name if youdon't care to see the leaderboard. You'll still be able to see eachtrack's top score. If you change your mind and wish to enter aleaderboard name later, you'll need to start over by re-installingthe app.)I find the game easier to play with a higher tilt sensitivity, sothat smaller tilt movements are sufficient. Thanks to my two consulting producers, Kenneth Lemieux and ChrisLefebvre!
